Fashion References

After getting an idea of what clothing we would be needing for our shoot we got together the fashion references to talk to Jess and Jade and give them the shows we've been looking at for inspiration to get their thoughts about the clothes. (All spring/summer 2011 apart from Dsquared which is spring/summer 2010.)

Dsquared - Spring/summer 2010 featured a very literal take on camping clothing for men and women . Using bright coloured anoraks over the models little outfits could help to keep the styling suggestions innocent.

Dsquared - Boys in shorts with bare chests, we could team shorts with a quirky waistcoat etc for a playful look

Dsquared - contrasting items like dramatic evening skirts and dresses with pullovers etc

Alberta Ferreti - Huge hats and sheer materials

Antonio Marras - Retro undies - innocent rather than sexual. Especially if teamed with unexpected items like anoraks and childish staples.

Betsy Johnson - frilly playsuits

Giles - For the punchy knitted vests

Louise Gray - I love the thrown together layering and clashing of style ideals

Meadham Kirchoff - The colour palette of pastels with pops of bright primary colours pushes the styling ideas from the Ladybird concept.

Meadham Kirchoff - Cycling shorts with romantic lace and collars make for interesting combinations and outfits.
