It is complete freedom from everything you know about clothes and fashion.

As I mentioned previously we knew we wanted to use more than one model in order to project this idea of a different form of education - outside of school, about learning to be happy, and how to be social and how to gain perspective in life when it comes to dealing with any problems that you are faced with. All of these ideas about life education involve people. To be around people, to learn to get on, to enjoy one another's company, to resolve issues, to love and be loved etc. All of these are ideas that I think come from participating in activities such as camping trips where there are little distractions from the modern world, and you are forced to really get quite personal with others. To capture this raw enjoyment and simplicity we need to try to create this situation with a number of models, both male and female.

We decided on around four models, two boys and two girls, and to base the shoot on their camping escape from the world, to try and show them enjoying the simplicity of the camping lifestyle.

This also helps to explain our styling ideas for the shoot, as there is an element of childish dress up because they have no need to dress impeccably. On camping trips you throw on whatever you have and have the freedom to play around with mismatch outfits without fear of being seen or judged. Its complete freedom from everything you know about clothing and fashion.
