Styling Inspiration

Tara and I have found a number of images from Lula Magazine that have helped to inform our styling concept for the shoot and the idea of child's play and youth. Here are some of the images we've been looking at:

What have we chosen these images for?

• The playful green paper crown and creative styling 
• The shot of the model hanging in a tree house and the idea of playing with rope and tire swings etc - could replicate it on location for our shoot and get the models playing around and enjoying themselves.
• Childish references of the paddling pool and cat in the garden, it suggests fun and frolicking 
• The pink styling in Issue 11 photographed by Jane McLeish Kelsey - the styling is very young, with pink slides in her hair, retro glasses and thrown together outfits all in shades of pink - this particular shoot gave us alot of inspiration for our own styling. We especially liked the dress being open at the front so you can see the models white tights and knickers underneath. It really relates to the idea of playing dress up and learning to dress yourself.
• The last image is a lovely photograph for hairstyles for our models. The plait and material in Elle Fannings hair really keeps the image childish. We can experiment with similar hairstyles on our models for the shoot, and tie ribbon, bows and material into the models hair.
