Hair and Makeup

Because of the number of models we’re using and the number of outfits we are dealing with we decided we needed a makeup artist to take care of the hair and makeup for us. We knew what kind of look we wanted and Tara and I thought we might be able to handle it ourselves but we realised the day is going to be hectic enough as it is. It also means we will have a makeup artist to come on the shoot and do last minute touches whilst we’re setting the sets up etc.

Here are some of the ideas of hair and makeup that we’re going for:

We either want long natural hair with little fuss or styled in hairstyles that you’d see on children, plaited hair and pig tails etc. I also really liked the idea of two really high buns tied on top of their heads. I got the idea from a film called Jersey Girl where the little girl called Gertrude has hair liked I’ve described. I tried to find photos but these ones are the closest I could find. They give the right idea and i’ll pitch it to the gang to see what they think.

(P.S I mean to reference only the idea of the hairstyle, not the styling!)
